Notice on Strengthening the Safety Management of Scientific Research and Experiments of Postgraduates Staying in School during Winter Vacation

In accordance with the relevant work requirements of higher-level departments for epidemic prevention and control and the school's notice on normalizing the epidemic prevention and control work on winter vacation campuses, the following requirements are put forward for the safety management of scientific research experiments carried out by postgraduates in winter vacation during the epidemic prevention and control period:
1. The main party and government leaders of each secondary unit shall fulfill the laboratory safety management responsibilities in accordance with the requirements of the "Henan University Laboratory Safety Management Measures" (School Fa [2021] No. 12).
2. All units shall conduct record management of the scientific research laboratories that have been used. Each laboratory should arrange staff on duty to record the time of opening and closing the door of the laboratory, the name of the experimenter, and the health status of the personnel. For off-campus scientific research projects borrowing from our laboratory, it needs to be reported to the college and higher-level departments for filing and approval. Labs that have not passed the approval shall not be opened.
3. The supervisor is the first person responsible for the safety of graduate research experiments. It is necessary to fully evaluate the necessity and risk of the experiment, and implement safety management and preventive measures. Instructors should strengthen the guidance of experimental projects and require students to conduct experiments in strict accordance with operating procedures. The scientific research laboratory shall, based on the principle of reducing the gathering of personnel, formulate a work schedule for the laboratory personnel, and specify the laboratory personnel and the time of the experiment.
4. Laboratory management personnel are the first person responsible for laboratory safety. It is necessary to keep a good job log of laboratory management and do a good job of cleaning, disinfection and ventilation in the laboratory. Personnel entering the laboratory must wear work clothes, masks and other safety facilities, otherwise they should be discouraged.
5. It is necessary to do a good job in laboratory safety such as fire prevention and anti-theft, and ensure that equipment, experimental consumables, and hazardous chemicals are in a safe control state.
6. The epidemic prevention and control of scientific research experiments should be carried out in strict accordance with the relevant regulations of the school's new crown pneumonia epidemic prevention and control leading group.
