Weifeng Zhang, Henan Province Distinguished Professor, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Postdoctoral Fellow of the Japan Institute of Materials and Materials (NIMS), Vice Chairman of the Optical Society of Henan Province, Training Target for Transcentury Academic and Technological Leaders in Henan Province, Outstanding Youth Science in Henan Province The recipient of the fund was selected for the Henan University Innovative Talent Cultivation Project, the reviewers of American journals JPC and JACS, and the editorial board member of Journal of Henan University (Natural Science Edition). He has studied or visited in Hong Kong, Japan, Canada, and the United States. 


Educational experience:

He graduated from the Department of Physics of Henan University in 1987, and was admitted to Henan University as a postgraduate of solid-state physics in the same year;

Obtained a master's degree in solid-state physics from the Department of Physics of Jilin University in 1990. Since the same year, he has been working in the Solid Surface Laboratory of Henan University, engaged in the preparation of Langmuir-Blodgett ordered molecular films and the research of optical and electrical properties;

In 1997, he was admitted to the Department of Physics of Nanjing University to study the optical properties of perovskite oxide nanomaterials and thin film materials;

Graduated with a doctoral degree in 2000 and received a doctorate degree in condensed matter physics. During his PhD study at Nanjing University, he won the Nanjing University Rising Star Science Award, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "Motorola" scholarship, and the "Hua Ke" scholarship. His doctoral thesis was rated as an outstanding doctoral thesis of Nanjing University.


Work experience:

He was promoted to associate professor in 1998, and to professor in 2002. He has been a doctoral supervisor since 2003;

In 2000, he was awarded the Henan Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and in the same year, he was determined to be a cross-century academic and technical leader academic training object in Henan Province;

In 2002, he was selected into the Henan Provincial Colleges and Universities Innovative Talent Training Project;

From 2001 to 2003, visited the Department of Physics of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology twice;

From 2004 to 2006, he was engaged in JSPS post-doctoral exchange research at the Japan Institute of Material and Material Research;

In 2010, he was named a distinguished professor of Henan Province.

In 2019, he was rated as the leading talent of the Central Plains Foundation.


Main academic achievements:

Has completed more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects. Mainly engaged in the preparation of perovskite structure ferroelectric and photoelectric thin films, heterostructures and nanomaterials, microstructure characterization and photoelectric properties research. Mainly in the SrBi2Ta2O9 ferroelectric film nonlinear optical response and optical limiting characteristics, TiO2 nanotube formation mechanism, hexagonal phase YMnO3 and orthorhombic phase YMnO3 film preparation new technology and optical characteristics, etc., carried out systematic in-depth research work, and found The third-order nonlinear optical properties of YMnO3 film, SrBi2Ta2O9 film has a significant optical limiting effect, clarified the formation mechanism of TiO2 nanotubes, and achieved innovative results.

He has published more than 180 papers, more than 110 of which have been indexed by SCI and EI, and have been cited more than 1,300 times in international journals by colleagues. Responsible for the establishment of Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Materials and Henan Provincial University Optoelectronic Information Technology Key Subject Open Laboratory.
